   Formula Junior Car Sales

FJ Elfin Catalina 1962 Chassis No 624
Built by Elfin Sports cars (Melbourne Australia) originally to compete as Formula Junior powered by a 1100cc Ford. Formula Junior was a flop in Australia, so Elfin fitted a larger engine to compete the 1.5 litre national Formula. Kevin Bartlett drove the car to victory first time out, at the Catalina Circuit, so these cars where given the 'Catalina' designation.

Kieft - Formula Junior

As shown in Bernard Cowdray's book "Formula Junior Complete A to Z". History from early 1960's.

Bought by present owner in 1989. Fully documented & photographic restoration finished in 2001. Light (390kg) & small, not suitable for "wide-bodied" drivers!   SOLD !!

Cooper T59 Chassis No: FJ 28 62

Car originally owned by David Cole, best results- 1963 Goodwood 3rd, Roskilde Denmark 8th.

The car later ran in Monoposto by Glen Hyatt and Dave Pullen, later bought by Peter Walker- on his death then sold to Alan Baillie, John Harper and then by Allan McGregor in 1992.   SOLD !!

Brynfan Tyddyn Special

I think body panels were made by Tim Wood in or around 1957 to accommodate the Cooper / Norton setup and to streamline the nose.

He ran it at the Giants Despair hillclimb that year. It has Borrani wire wheels and a Nardi wood steering wheel and was on display in his den when I bought it around 1980 after his demise.
